This position requires a 60 day probationary period after which pay will increase from $16/hr to $17/hr. Worker will be back-paid for all previous hours worked to match $17/hr once probationary period is completed satisfactorily and new contract is accepted. Job Description: As a Part-Time Custodian with Best in Class, you will be responsible for janitorial tasks at a property in Downtown Denver. This position is 3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4 hours per shift. Required Skills: - Self-Motivated and able to work independently - Takes pride in their work - Problem solver Job summary: - Manual operation of trash and recycling compactors to keep chutes clear. - Removing dumpsters from compactor when full and replacing with an empty bin. - Transport full dumpsters to and from pickup area on waste pickup days. - Cleaning compactor room and storage room to include sweeping and mopping. - Removal of items in trash rooms that won't fit down the chute and are left in trash rooms. - Sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting of resident waste disposal rooms. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and special conditions of employment: - Smart phone with data plan. - Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (must be listed as driver on policy) - Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
