Looking for an experienced bass player to join our band. Country/Country Blues/Country Rock seems to be our main groove, but we are quite capable of other genres. We cover artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Marshall Tucker, Skynyrd, CCR, The Band, Brandy Clark, just to name a few. We also do some originals, and plan to eventually go to mostly originals. If you write, we'll be thrilled to give yours a listen, too. We currently have 2 practice venues...one in Galax, VA and one in Sparta, NC and try to alternate. Currently, practice is every Sunday, rain or shine, and you would be expected to be there, regardless of which venue. There's usually (but not always) good food involved too, so there's that. Both venues have recording capabilities. We're looking for someone who is not only an accomplished musician, but someone who will fit, like family. Big egos need not apply. We already have that covered, and are working diligently to correct it. Having a great time and gigging is the number 1 goal. If you sing, that's always a plus, but not necessary. All but 1 member of this band is over 50, but don't let that deter you. We're all REALLY cool. Contact if interested and think you might be a good fit, and we'll go from there.
