BROOKLINE, MA — Dozens of customers were without power in Brookline after a truck hit some low wires and knocked into a pole Tuesday morning, and before the night was out a car flipped over while driving down St. Paul's Street.
It's was a busy day across the region with a number of crashes reported in the slick, cold rain, including in Brookline. Early in the day Tuesday, near Allandale Farms a cyclist was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after they were hit by a car. And around 11:30 a.m. a crash on Amory Street - where there was an investigation happening in the park nearby - caused police to shut down that stretch of the road.
Around 11 a.m. the A.Duie Pile truck hit electrical wires and a pole, causing the power to go out and backing up traffic on Warren Street. Photos show part of the truck was damaged in the crash, too.
Police said no one was hurt in that crash, but it's unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash on St. Paul Street just after 11 p.m.
