Hood Packaging Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers of paper packaging for a variety of products, is looking to fill the following position at their Vancouver, WA facility: Entry Level Production/Manufacturing Positions Starting at $18 for the first 6 months, increased to $19.35. Plus an additional shift pay for 2nd shift 55 cents and 3rd shift 75 cents. Responsibilities: •Assists Operators with all set-up preparations for any of the bottoming machines in the department in order to produce the bag according to all customer specifications. •Ensures that all necessary supplies and materials are available before initiating production. •Receives and inspects bags or tubes for Quality defects. Notifies Operator when Quality problems arise. •Load tubes into feeder of machines •Stack bags onto pallet, conveyor and/or in boxes according to stacking pattern specified on order. •Maintains all production records confirming they are completed, legible, accurate and timely manner. Education and Knowledge: •A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required for this position. •The position requires the use of some precision measuring instruments and simple hand tools. Simple arithmetic is required including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication, and the use of fractions and measurements within 1/32 of an inch.
