Southern Milling and Lumber is looking for an individual to join our team as plant maintenance mechanic for our production facility in Lakeland, Florida. The ideal candidate must have 1 to 3 years work experience, be trainable, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. All applicants must be: Able to pass a drug test Able to be E-Verified Must be 18 years of age or older Job Description: Perform preventive maintenance for machines on production floor Electrical experience with wiring on machines and able to read machine electrical schematics Experience working with pump, hydraulic systems, and conveyors on machinery Follow all required safety practices including lockout-tagout requirements and manufacturer guidelines Assist in maintaining inventory for parts and supplies Responsibilities: Keeping work area clean. Follow all safety procedures per company guidelines. Good attendance. Perform other tasks when asked to by supervisors. Physical Requirements: Standing and/or walking for 8 – 10 hours per day.
