Residential Maintenance Technician This is a full-time position, year-round position and the working days are Monday–Friday, with some flexibility. Periodic weekend work may be required to maintain the property and landscaping, and any other needs that may arise. Summary of duties include but are not limited to: • Perform general maintenance and upkeep in/around property (e.g., repairing broken fence panels, painting, light carpentry, drywall repair, etc.) • Minor building maintenance (replacing light bulbs, fence repair) • Ensure property is free of debris and rubbish • Review and complete daily maintenance requests as indicated by Property Manager • Keep accurate records relating to daily activity and work being performed • Maintain a neat and professional demeanor while on duty • Be observant to areas within the property that may require attention and/or follow-up • Assist Property Management or other staff when requested • General landscape duties (mowing lawn, watering, maintain irrigation, etc.) Experience/Knowledge & Abilities • Self-starter and have the ability to work effectively as part of the team • Able to use hand and/or power tools as necessary • Prolonged periods of standing and walking • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair • Work may require prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting items 50 – 70 pounds • Requires working inside and outside in all types of weather • Must be able to operate office equipment such as a computer and telephone • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently • Proactive and positive attitude • Excellent communication skills both orally and written • High attention to detail • Have a valid Washington Driver’s License • Respect for privacy and ability to maintain a high level of confidentially at all times • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
