Description: Excellent opportunity for a qualified carpenter with minimum five years’ experience in rough and finish carpentry and other areas of residential construction. The ideal candidate will able to manage job sites with employees and trade contractors. As the front line in achieving company goals, the lead carpenter must focus on product quality and customer satisfaction. Pay based on experience and capabilities. Carpenter is responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions. -Select materials for projects -Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials -Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors. -Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall. -Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures. -Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. -May at times work in high spaces on ladders or lifts if needed. -Check work along the way to ensure code & specification compliance. -Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure. -Work with prefabricated buildings. -Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes -Install structures and fixtures such as windows, cabinets and molding. -Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures -May erect scaffolding. -Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors. -Install partitions, doors, and windows. -May move and install machinery. -Other duties as assigned Education, Training & Experience - Minimum of a high school diploma or GED - Previous experience in relevant field/position preferred - Minimum age of 18 - High school education or equivalent - Physically able to do the work - U.S. citizen or proof of legal residency - Valid Driver’s License required with clear driving record - DOT medical exam may be required if driving for company Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
