BROCKTON, MA—A Brockton man has been charged for his involvement in a fatal hit and run that left a woman dead on Tuesday night. According to a press release from Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, Michael Blanche, 33, was identified as the driver of the green motor vehicle involved in the hit and run. Police found the vehicle behind an abandoned residence after reviewing surveillance footage taken near the scene of the crash. Prosecutors say Blanche has been charged with one count each of leaving the scene of a crash causing death, negligent motor vehicle homicide, speeding, failure to stop/yield, and operating a motor vehicle after suspension. On November 17, Brockton Police received a 911 call at approximately 6:16 p.m. reporting a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash at 259 Pleasant Street. Marie Rose Bienaime, 72, of Brockton was found unresponsive at the scene. She was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Blanche is expected to be arraigned on the charges in Brockton District Court on Friday.
