The Service Technician is a flexible position with K&T Irrigation. This individual is expected to work autonomously, providing a direct contact with the customer and the repair site. They will wire in new irritation pivots & install the latest communications technology. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various aspects of the irrigation systems, pumps, wells, etc. They are also responsible for filling out service orders accurately and completely, and in some cases help direct construction crew members on larger jobs. After the irrigation season, this candidate will be working on grain site construction projects building towers, assembling catwalks, transitions, down spouting, and assisting company millwrights. During the coldest days and inclement weather this individual will also assist with routine maintenance of company equipment. This candidate will contribute to the success of K&T Irrigation’s Field Service team, and be dedicated to safety, quality, and efficiency. Irrigation or grain site experience is not necessary. Candidates must be eager to learn, and actively seek to master the projects they are assigned to. In house training is available for the right candidates that qualify. Education & Work Experience: • Must be mechanically inclined with basic electrical knowledge • Experience working in a team environment • The ability to follow instructions, meet expectations, and work long hours outside • Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities Requirements: • Must be over 18 years of age • Must have a valid driver’s license • Must be able to work substantial overtime during peak seasons • Must be willing to overnight out of town during peak seasons (4 nights a week avg.)
