Presentation by Captain Bratten Friends of Miller House/Washington’s Headquarters presents U.S. Army Captain Jonathan Bratten, an instructor in the Department of History at the United States Military Academy at West Point, with his lecture entitled, “The U.S. Army’s First Offensive: Benedict Arnold’s 1775 Quebec Expedition.” Arnold is of course reviled as America's first and most notorious traitor, but it is important to remember that he was, prior to his betrayal, one of the most successful American commanders.
