Try to walk a mile in their shoes. Take on the identity of someone else and navigate through their lives for a month. During the Poverty Simulation, participants will take on the identity of someone else. You will work with your family to live a month in poverty. The struggle is real therefore you will have to navigate and cope using only the resources supplied to you. Throughout the month you will face the daily stresses and challenges a person in poverty faces. This simulation is not a game. It is based on the stories of real life clients. The Alliance for Human Services is a powerful coalition of organization and individuals committed to continually improving the quality of human services in Lake County, Illinois.
