Please join us for our first ever fundraising event at the TR Tasting Room in Travelers Rest, SC. This is a Women in Water Outdoors event! This networking evening is generously sponsored by Ms. Rebecca West, who has worked in the water industry for 34 years. For those of us lucky to know her, you know that she is a smart, caring, a force in water infrastructure planning and policy, an amazing mentor, and a champion for women. Rebecca is sponsoring this evening networking event to support this growing initiative. Paella prep will start around 2:30PM, and the event officially begins at 4PM. Please register as space is limited! It will be a networking event like no other!  Funds will be raised by donations. Cash and Venmo will be accepted. We will move from the parking lot to indoors to enjoy storytelling and adventure planning! Women in Water Outdoors is a social and professional network of women in the water industry. We plan adventure, learning, and service activities to boost women's connectivity across the water industry and confidence in outdoor recreation. Katie Callahan is the Director of the Center for Watershed Excellence at Clemson University, Clemson, SC. Katie has wanted to work in water since a young kid. She enjoys all activities on the water...except whitewater rafting! Her passion at work is engaging a greater representation of our residents in conversations about our water supplies and recreational opportunities now and in the future. Kaleigh Sims is an Environmental Toxicologist at SynTerra Corp in Greenville, SC. Kaleigh is also pursuing a PhD at Clemson University focusing on water policy.
