Advanced Wilderness First-Aid is for any outdoor enthusiast who may find themselves hours, or days, away from professional rescue. This course is open to anyone wishing to increase their medical expertise and first-aid skills. All required medical equipment will be provided and students are encouraged to bring their personal medical bags for training specific to devices carried. Most items used in the course are available for purchase from a variety of vendors and some will be available for purchase at the course site. This course is taught entirely outdoors in a camping situation. Primative sites are used for most hands-on training with open air classrooms used for diadactic lectures. 36-Hours of continuing education is awarded upon successful completion of the course. CME approval package has been submitted for ADPH EMS approval.
