MILTON, MA — Today is Thursday, Oct. 15. Here's what Patch has been covering south of Boston today. A Raynham man was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday in Milton outside the Blue Hills Reservation, Massachusetts State Police said. Around 10:05 p.m., State Police were called to Chickatawbut Road near the intersection of Forest Street for a report of a man trapped inside a car at the bottom of an embankment. According to police, Jake Bjork, 29, was driving his Kia Optima on Chickatawbut Road. When he hit a curve after Forest Street, Bjork lost control of the car. State Police said the car rotated and went off the edge of the road, went down an embankment, struck a fence, a wooden structure and then a tree. Read the full story here. Truck Rolls-Over, Spills Asphalt On I-495, Closing Highway The truck was hauling asphalt which spilled onto the highway. All lanes except the breakdown lane were closed. Massachusetts State Police said the driver of a tri-axle truck was ejected and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
