This position will work in a fertilizer manufacturing environment and work closely with other employees/team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Operate a sit-down forklift. *Operate our Packaging line which includes: *Operating the filler/lidder and stretch wrap machine *Hand lift filled 5g pails onto pallets *Label packaging *Fill tankers with loadout pumps *Run glue label and tape boxes Operate our Extraction/Reaction areas which include: *Control equipment to adjust chemical changes and reactions during the production process *Review formulation orders for accuracy both when receiving and after they've been completed *Ensures that products produced meet company’s quality and production standards based on scheduled demands *Add various materials to batches, sometimes hazardous *Operate and clean equipment in production process including pumps, liquid separator, blender, centrifuge, etc Help in other areas of plant operations as needed. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Other duties as required Skills (proficiencies developed through training or experience) *Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, procedure and technical manual, project specifications and process technical information. *Must be able to author and submit clear, concise and reports and forms utilizing the company provided forms/templates. *Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, employees and other parties. *Must have reasonable basic math skills. This includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. *Speak and write in English fluently. *The ability to verbally communicate in Spanish is a plus.
