BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree is mourning the loss of its Director of Recreation Saturday after the department announced that Nelson Chin passed away. "Nelson was the heart of this department," Braintree posted on its Facebook page. "His kindness, laughter and positivity was contagious. "When you would walk into the office you know you would be greeted with a huge smile and a hug. He was more than the head of the department. He was a friend, mentor and father figure to his employees. He will be immensely missed and will always be loved." Chin is survived by his wife, Sue, and his three children, Amanda, Adam and Andrew.
