Thursday, February 10, 1 p.m. Second Thursday Talk (in person in the Museum Theatre) Preventing Financial Scams and Elder Financial Abuse Presented by Nick Tscheekar , Community Engagement Officer for the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada As the Community Engagement Officer for the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, Nick Tscheekar oversees the Community Foundation’s initiatives and community engagement activities. Nick has launched the Caregiver Support Initiative and Preventing Financial Scams Initiative. He is the lead staff member on evaluating the Community Foundation’s impact. Nick graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with degrees in Political Science and International Affairs. Nick’s favorite part of the Community Foundation is getting to work with caring people to turn ideas into solutions. Nick will present a training on how to prevent scams and elder financial abuse. Learn about common scams and how you can protect yourself. Cost: Free to members, included with the price of admission, otherwise $5. It will be held on Thursday, February 10th at 1 p.m., in the Museum's Theatre. Enjoy a 30-minute talk and Q&A Don’t miss “One of America’s Top Ten Automobile Museums.” The National Automobile Museum (The Harrah Collection) has a “Wow!” factor you don’t often find in a museum. You’ll see more than 200 eye-popping cars, and authentic street scenes. The facades bring displays to life; a hardware store here, a movie theatre there which accompany artifacts from each era. The museum is open Monday – Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $6 for children 6 to 18 years. Children age 5 and younger are free. The National Automobile Museum is open every day except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
