Please check our website for updates http://www.vwelab.org/chattfab  Register by May 28 to save $35 with the Early Bird special! The Public Education Foundation and  Hamilton County Schools are hosting the third annual 2022 Chattanooga FAB Institute June 20 - 22 in Chattanooga, TN, in partnership with Volkswagen Group of America. This unique professional development is designed to give K-12 educators one-of-a-kind experiences as they engage in hands-on learning with digital fabrication tools in our advanced makerspaces, Volkswagen and HCS eLabs! The 3-day digital fabrication PD offers participants an opportunity to engage in authentic experiences with 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, vinyl cutting, CNC routing, micro-computing, and much more! Each morning, guest speakers will keynote and kick off the day. Then, participants will be shuttled to a nearby school where Volkswagen eLab Specialists (the full-time specialized teachers in these Fab Labs) will facilitate day-long learning activities as they unpack not only the basics of how to use the technology, but also the nuances that are critical to delivering effective maker-enhanced learning experiences for students.  Back for 2022, participants can select from beginner and advanced tracks in order to make the experience more impactful for everyone. Group discounts are available for groups of 5 or more. Reach out to [email protected] for more information. The Tennessee STEM Innovation Network and the Public Education Foundation of Chattanooga created the STEM Innovation Hub to provide development, amplification, and leadership experiences for teachers, principals, parents, and staff from community organizations. The Public Education Foundation serves as the managing partner of the Hub, acting as both the fiscal agent and driving force to create a center where teachers, principals, non-profit organizations, and leaders from business and industry work together to redesign how our children learn. The hub has emerged as an innovative entity that provides unique opportunities for stakeholders to identify and develop revolutionary educational strategies that help prepare students to thrive.
