I don't need you to help in the garden, I just want to know if there is anything you don't want eat. I don't need you to cook us dinner, I just want to know what you want for desert. I don't need you to do the laundry, I just want to know what is your preferred detergent; and what makes you itchy. I don't need you to take care of me when I am sick, I just want to know if you will let me make you a herbal tea when you have a cold. I don't need to know all of your past relationships or sexual escapades, I just need to know you will not judge me on my past. I don't want to make you feel boring or average, I just want you to always be surprised with my showering of affection. I don't want you to feel you have to live by anyone's Ideas of who you are meant to be, I just need to know I am never violating your boundaries. I don't need you to be a new mother to my children, I just want you to be a positive influence on their future happiness in life. I don't need you to believe the same things I spiritually believe, I just need you to respect them; and I hope you will share your beliefs with me. I don't need to know where you are every minute of the day, but I hope you want to talk to me everyday. I don't have to meet all your friends, I just hope you want them to meet me. I don't want you to like all the same music as me, I just want you to dance with me to the ones we both like. I don't want you to like all the same books I do, I just want to talk about our favorite stories. I don't want you to be anything, but your true self. I expect nothing but a full partnership one that is built on a mutual trust from unconditional love and equally earned respect, through trial and error that comes from the sharing of ones life. I don't need you right now, I can wait; I know you are so worth it. I don't want you to change anything about yourself, if you did it wouldn't be true. I just want to share all this amazing world holds with someone who can see the same wonder I see. I once thought when I was young I need you to become me, I know now I became you to find you.....
