NEW YORK CITY — This isn't a joke — Pete Davidson's and Colin Jost's dream to turn a retired Staten Island Ferry into a comedy club could be dashed by New York City's bureaucracy. The SNL funnymen's plans depend on a big helping hand from the city, the New York Post first reported. The duo — who turned their surprise recent purchase of the ferry into "Weekend Update" fodder — are floating a partnership with Mayor Eric Adams' administration to revive a city-owned pier, the Post reported. They have also reached out to the city's economic development arm, according to the report. Adams previously pledged to help the famous Staten Island natives' ferry plans. "Pete, @ColinJost: I love this idea," he tweeted. "What a great way to give an NYC icon a second life. Let us know how we can help and we'll be there for the maiden voyage."
