Join us February 15 at Battle GR (284 Dodge Ct, Comstock Park, MI 49321) for our first meeting of 2022! Our featured speaker is Officer Craig Holbrook, Plainfield Charter Township Community policing officer, will present Active Shooter preparedness. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.
Officer Holbrook also leads the Township’s weekly Coffee with a Cop meetings held 10 a.m. Wednesdays at the Plainfield Township Fire Station #3, 4343 Plainfield Ave.
This event will feature networking opportunities, short presentation, continental breakfast, and information about membership options with NEBA.
