MARBLEHEAD, MA — Residents in some parts of Marblehead will have to keep their vehicles off the side of the roads for at least one more night as crews continue clean up from the Saturday blizzard.
The Marblehead Department of Public Works said on Monday that beginning at 9 p.m. snow removal will resume on Pleasant Street between Village Street and lower Washington Street on both sides. This work is expected to continue into Tuesday until about dawn.
Parking will not be allowed on the street during this stretch Monday night.
Crews will then begin work on Washington Street between Rockaway Street street past the Old Town House and continuing to Pearl Street. No parking is allowed on this stretch of the public road either.
On Monday night, crews will also work on pushing back or removing snow banks from intersections near Marblehead schools.
Residents are asked to use caution and be aware of DPW vehicles if they are driving through those areas Monday night.
Marblehead DPW and police said parking will be allowed on all other streets Monday night.
