Shower Manifold and Spout Replacement

Seeking replacement of shower/tub manifold and tub spout. (Existing diverter stuck in open to both tub spout and shower head. Cold water valve does not completely close. ½” copper pipe to tub spout below manifold snapped during attempt to replace diverter spout attachment. Old manifold, have had difficulty finding replacement valves.) Looking for entire manifold to be removed and replaced with a new easy to replace manifold. While I am open to suggestions on methodology, I am currently envisioning a common manifold with readily available valve stem replacements and either sweat or ideally brass compression fitting connections being installed behind an amply large, watertight-sealed, easily-removable access panel (likely slightly larger than the diameter from the outsides of the current hot/cold knob locations) for ease of future replacement without the need to deconstruct the shower wall. Looking for a diverter between showerhead and tub spout. Open to different methods of controlling hot/cold water based on ease of access concerns, though default to preferring separate handles. Exterior brick wall behind manifold, shower surround (of 3 pieces) in front of the manifold. If removing the surround, I would also like to raise the shower head 9 to 12” to put the shower head at about 6’6” above the tub elevation and provide water protection along the front wall to the height of the shower head. Landlord, posting this ad, speaks English and some broken Spanish. Husband speaks both English and Spanish fluently, and is home irregular hours. Wife who speaks only Spanish works from home so can be available to grant you access during most daylight hours Price of $500 is just a best guess based on expected cost of material ($150-300) and labor ($200-500).
