Description
BEVERLY, MA — Beverly has launched a rental assistance program for those "deeply financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic."
The program, created with the help of the Community Preservation Committee and Beverly City Council, is available to those who have experienced difficulty in paying rent as a direct result of income lost to the pandemic, and who are not eligible for other forms of assistance.
To be eligible for the Beverly program, residents must have a household median income at or below 100 percent of area media income. In Beverly, this would be $119,000 for a family of four.
"We recognize the incredible pressures people are facing now," Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill said, "and we hope this program helps keep Beverly residents in their homes."
North Shore Community Action Programs are administrating this program. They can be reached here or through email at [email protected].
