Sergio Almanza was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal's Service in southwest New Mexico and is on his way to Albuquerque after running through a red light at Central and Tingley. 7-year-old Pronoy Bhattacharya was killed when the vehicle ran into a crowd leaving River of Lights. (KRQE News 13) Albuquerque students are encouraged to write about senior citizens during the 40th annual "A Senior I Know" essay contest. The Albuquerque Department of Senior Affairs sponsors the event encouraging students to choose a significant older senior for an essay about the positive impact they have gained from the individual.
