BEVERLY, MA — A Beverly resident and Endicott College graduate student has been named to chair the Beverly Human Rights Committee. Caja Johnson, a seven-year resident of the city, will lead the committee whose aim is to "actively seek to enhance equal justice, inclusivity and human rights for all members of our community." Johnson earned her degree in drug, alcohol and rehabilitation from North Shore Community College in 2014 and graduated with a Lesley University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology. She is currently pursing her Master's degree at Endicott College. The Human Rights Committee said Johnson dedicates her free time to local anti-racism action, volunteer coaching and support for Beverly sports and elementary schools, campaigning to end hunger and support of oncology patients. She has taught special education at Futures and Hopeful Journeys and worked at Beverly Hospital. For more on the Beverly Human Rights Committee go here.
