MORRISTOWN, NJ — A New Jersey Transit train struck and injured a pedestrian Sunday evening in Morristown. Officials took the man to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to NJ Transit. The incident took place just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Martin Luther King Avenue Bridge in Morristown. Neither the crewmembers nor the 50 customers on the train reported injuries, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson. NJ Transit Police are leading the investigation. The train had left New York Penn Station at 5:11 p.m. and was scheduled to reach Dover at 6:56 p.m. Sunday.
