Here are the top five stories in Myrtle Beach today: Horry County Police have arrested a man for carjacking after an incident that occurred Saturday morning in Carolina Forest. The alleged carjacking occurred in the parking lot of Magoo's Sports and Spirits on Waccamaw Boulevard. Police were called regarding a vehicle theft. The victim informed officers that the man pushed her out of the driver's seat of her vehicle, moved into the seat, and put the car in reverse while she was still holding onto the car's driver's side door. The victim was not injured. The man was later arrested at his home with help from video footage from the restaurant's security cameras. He was charged with carjacking, and posted $20,000 bond on Saturday. (WMBF)Expect detours and delays starting today in Myrtle Beach. Crews will be working to repair a water line break at 29th Avenue North and Highway 17 starting early this morning. On Wednesday, water will be turned off along Seaboard Street for a broken water valve repair there, as well as near Mr. Joe White Avenue. That will also be an early morning job. Traffic detours will likely be in place for both projects. (WBTW) (WMBF)The family of missing Myrtle Beach man, Ralph Whitehead, said he was not feeling well and was somewhat confused after recent open heart surgery, and that may explain him going missing on Friday morning. As the community helps search for Whitehead, his wife is grateful for the help from complete strangers, and she prays he returns home safely. The pair moved to Myrtle Beach from New York a few months ago, to start a new chapter in their lives. The community, search parties, and law enforcement professionals continued to scour Forestbrook for Whitehead on Monday. Anyone with information should contact Horry County PD at (843) 248-1520. The South Carolina State Treasurer just announced there is an additional $615,000 in the state's Unclaimed Property Program. Check out if there are any funds in your name to be claimed! (WBTW) From our sponsor: Last week, we told you about our new favorite non-alcoholic go-to — the refreshingly bitter drinks from our partners at Betera. They're chef-created from natural botanicals, lightly effervescent and worthy of life beyond "Dry January." We mentioned that their Ginger-Orange was excellent; we've since tried Elderflower-Lime and loved it as well — light and floral with the perfect amount of zing. We're converts. Enough of you took Betera up on their 15% discount on first orders for Patch Daily readers that they've extended the offer for another week. Use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — try Betera here.
