By John Gibson, WNIN January 31, 2022 A half-dozen more COVID-19 related deaths and more than 2,500 new infections have been tallied in Western Kentucky. WNIN's John Gibson has the update: The Green River District Health Department announced three new COVID-related deaths in Henderson County, two in Daviess County, and one in Union County. Henderson's pandemic death toll reached 144, the Daviess County toll climbed to 344, and Union's toll reached 53. The agency also counted 2,533 more infections in the seven-county district from Tuesday to Thursday. Henderson's vaccination rate stood at about 57 percent, Daviess County's rate topped 58 percent, and just 46 percent of Union County residents were listed as fully vaccinated.
