LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The Pacific Marine Mammal Center is opening its doors in Laguna Beach once again, after the winter surge of COVID-19 cases prompted local officials to close the center early mid-January. On Tuesday, Orange County residents will be allowed to enter the Pacific Marine Mammal Center's visitor yard — and introduce themselves to the 20 California sea lions currently residing at the center. Throughout the center's closure, the care of the animals at the center continued — as did the rescues from area beaches, rocky shoals and parking lots.
