WILSONVILLE, OR — If you have an idea that you think could help Wilsonville, the city might have some funding for you. The city's parks and recreation department runs two grant programs that has money for groups that want to do just that.
The department has $50,000 to give away – $25,000 for each program.
The first is The Community Opportunity Grant Program that supports organizations things such as education, the arts, and community involvement. The second one is The Community Tourism Grant Program, which has money for groups doing things such as promoting local businesses as well for staging events and festivals that will bring people to Wilsonville.
Applications for the first program are due on March 4. On April 14, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will announce people and groups getting grants.
For the second program, people have until March 11 to get their applications in. The Tourism Promotion Committee will notify winners on April 5.
