NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE Patrick Cartas, 57, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 11 a.m. Jan. 23, at W. Algonquin Road and Meijer Drive. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of March 14 was assigned. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Kenneth H. Cordero, 49, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 2:32 a.m. a.m. Jan. 22, at Hintz Road and Lakeview Drive. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Feb. 10 was assigned. Maria Skorupa, 37, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 8:43 p.m. Jan. 25, at Arlington Heights Road and E. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of March 11 was assigned. DOMESTIC BATTERY Dionisio Galingan, 56, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Jan. 24, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Feb. 14 was assigned. SPEEDING Victor R. Lopez, 55, is accused of speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Jan. 21, at Frontage Road and Kennicott Drive. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of March 2 was assigned. CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Onofre Ortiz-Marquina, 48, is accused of criminal damage to property over $500, and was arrested at 6:58 a.m. Jan. 27, at NCH Hospital, 800 W. Central Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of March 11 was assigned. LAST WEEK: Catalytic Converter Thefts Continue; Plaza Burglaries INCIDENTS THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS A person called police at 4:06 p.m. Jan. 17, to report someone removed the catalytic converter from a blue Honda CRV sometime during the overnight hours at Hancock Square Garage, 100 block of E. Eastman Street. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.A resident in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road reported at 6:22 p.m. Jan. 18, someone removed the catalytic converter from a gray Mitsubishi Outlander sometime during the overnight hours. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report. A resident in the 1100 block of W. Hawthorne Street called police at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 19, to report someone removed the catalytic converter from a silver Honda CRV sometime during the overnight hours. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown.A resident of the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road reported at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 21, someone removed the catalytic converter from a Mitsubishi Outlander sometime during the overnight hours. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown.A resident of the 900 block of E. Golf Road called police at 11:51 a.m. Jan. 22, to report someone removed the catalytic converter from a gold Honda CRV at some time during the overnight hours. The cost to replace it was unknown at the time of the report. A resident in the 300 block of E. Seegers Road reported at 12:18 p.m. Jan. 22, someone removed the catalytic converter from a red Mitsubishi Outlander at some time during the overnight hours. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT A resident in the 900 block of W. Miner Street reported at 10:15 p.m. Jan. 17, someone rang their doorbell and said he needed to charge his phone battery. The subject left in a dark-colored Acura prior to police arrival. SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE A resident in the 900 block of N. Illinois Avenue reported at 4:47 p.m. Jan. 18, a Black Ford Edge was parked in front of the complainant's residence for an extended period of time. The vehicle left prior to the complainant calling 911. RETAIL THEFT An employee of Sally Beauty Supply, 1000 block of S. Arlington Heights Road, reported at 10:19 a.m. Jan. 19, a woman stole items and fled the area in a white Mini Cooper. BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE A resident in the 100 block of S. Brighton Place called police at 9:49 a.m. Jan. 21, to report their Jeep was broken into overnight and items were taken.A resident in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road reported at 1:31 p.m. Jan. 23, a gray pickup truck was broken during the overnight hours and items were taken from the vehicle.
