SNELLVILLE, GA — A 7-year-old is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound stemming from an accidental shooting outside a restaurant parking lot in Snellville. The shooting happened Sunday night at 1650 Scenic Highway South. According to the Snellville Police Department, it was a 9-year-old who pulled the trigger after an adult left the pair in a car with an unsecured gun to pick up food at Chipotle. Police said the child was conscious and alert when transported to the hospital. No other details have been released. Police have not identified the adult or said if that person will face charges.
