ROSWELL, GA — Ever wondered what it's like to be a cop? If so, here's your chance to learn what it's like to serve among Roswell's dedicated men and women in blue. The Roswell Police Department will hold its upcoming Citizens' Police Academy, which will take place Tuesday nights, Feb. 15 through April 12. "You'll be treated to an inside look at not just CSI [crime scene investigation], but all of our varied units and disciplines," the department posted to Facebook. The free program is designed to introduce members of the public to various functions of police work. Each of the 9 classes will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The first class will be held at the Roswell Police Department at 39 Hill St. To participate in the citizens' police academy, Roswell residents must be at least 18 years of age or a Roswell business owner. There are 25 seats available in this session, according to the police department. To take part, applicants must complete the application and the Criminal History Release form.
