Description
I have several bioactive enclosures with garden snails that are constantly breeding. I'd prefer not to have to start killing them, so I'm hoping there is someone who wants/needs the excess as food for another animal or to keep as pets. They range in size from smaller than pinhead crickets to roughly nickel sized in diameter right now (though will get quarter/half dollar sized as adults).
The snails are all healthy and very young - they grow very fast, especially if they have an ample food source. Great for kids to watch or raise as a project. Feeding on greens, vegetables, clean up crew food, the plants in my enclosures, and also have calcium available for their shells (I use eggshells and cuttle bone).
***Please note that these snails cannot and should not be released outdoors, as this species (Cornu aspersum) is NOT native to America, and is considered invasive. They are native to Europe and do not naturally occur in the wild on this side of the world at all, so PLEASE be responsible and do not get these snails with the intention of releasing when you're done with them.
They're free to anyone who wants them, as many as you want - using them as feeders is completely okay with me. You pick up in South Oakland, Pittsburgh, and please bring your own container with a LID (they can stick to and climb any surface). I won't deliver, sorry.
