Heyo! I'm 29, queer, and very new to the Boston area. I also have been playing the drums on and off for a decade or so, but am ~not great~. I'd like to get better on the drums, jam more, and make some pals while I'm at it. Want to start a punk rock band with me? My ideal bandmates: - Can play their instruments, but maybe not super well. We'll get better together. - Able to commit to regular meetings (once every week or two) and will practice on their own some so we actually get better. - Have their own gear. - Will help chip in for a rehearsal space. (I don't have one yet, but typically these aren't too expensive if you share with other bands). - Good sense of humor - I trend silly. - Love to jam. - Are nice and kind people. - Vaxxed. - Non-men especially encouraged, but men are cool too. - You don't have to be queer, but I sure am so you at least have to be chill! Some of the types of music I like and might be interested in playing? punk/skate punk, 2000's pop punk/emo, harder-core, or let's just make up goofy songs with a fast beat that people would dance to, whatever! Open to suggestions. I just want to jam and have fun. Genre is less important.
