Hello, my husband and I run a doggy day care/ boarding from home. We are looking for 1 reliable person for 15-20 hours a week, $13 an hour. Times are flexible. This month I specifically need help weekdays and weekends. My job ends this month and I'll be going on maternity leave, so I'll be needing help the days my husband works (Sat-Mon) but other days as well. I have been working with dogs since middle school, so I am knowledgeable about our services and our care we provide. I need someone who is trustworthy, reliable, has experience with dogs (pack leader!) and can manage groups of dogs/ read doggy behavior. Most dogs we host are all repeat clients who come for daycares. The kind of help we need includes *playing with doggies/ entertaining/ supervising, *scooping, *cleaning up after doggies (they can make quite a mess, and we do host a lot of puppies! for example, at the end of your shift, sweeping and mopping), *feeding, *keeping the doggy areas neat and tiny, *doggy laundry *doggy dishes. *taking pictures/ videos of doggies for customers and adding them to their google photo albums. Basically, it's like a day care but for doggies! We don't just take any dog that comes around, we vet dogs to make sure they fit with our pack. We host generally between 8-10 doggies at a time for daycares (mostly medium-sized & puppies). They are all very acclimated, friendly, and well-cared for and exercised to keep a peaceful, well-managed environment. Skills you need: *working with dogs, *friendly w/ our customers who come to pick up or drop off dogs, ability to report how they did for the day, *attention to detail, *positive attitude, *you like dogs. *Be communicative- talking about what is going well/ what is not so we can make it the best experience for you we can. We will have a 640 square foot guest house planned to be up by April when our baby is due. Then the care routine would happen from there, so the doggies would have the yard and the guest house to play in. (Potential for rent/ help w/ doggy care exchange in the future!). *We are about 1.5 miles away from the University. *We are looking for someone who is college aged. *We are looking for someone w/ a flexible schedule. *When you're here you can use the Wi-Fi and help yourself to our fridge/ pantry!
