Super-Effective Personal & Executive Assistant

Jobs

Shelley Avenue near West 12th Street, Austin TX

Description

Hello Austin! I'm a scattered scientist and startup founder who just moved to Austin, and need help organizing and managing aspects of my life, both big and small. I'm looking for someone smart, conscientious, and super organized. Ideally you'd have a lot of experience with personal and executive assistance, but as long as you can show that you're organized and smart, I'm happy to consider people without experience. This job starts at $20 - $25 / hr, depending on your skills and background. Most candidates should expect to start at $20 / hr, and get raises as quickly as you can demonstrate your abilities. This job is between 15 and 40 hrs per week depending on what you're looking for, and also the week! This is a conversation we'd have to figure out what works for both of us. For example, if you're specifically looking to work half-time, I can guarantee you 20 hrs / wk of work, so long as you can occasionally be available for more. A good portion of this job can be done remotely, but some does need to be on-site, and reliable transportation is required. Here are some examples of tasks I'd have you help with. House organization and maintenance. My wife and I could use help buying items for our new place, returning items we don't like, help with decoration, and also just weekly help with basic cleaning / laundry / grocery shopping / other simple house tasks. Finding experts to help with various tasks, e.g. doctors / accountants / etc., making appointments, and e.g. with accountants, interfacing with them as much as possible on our behalf. Personal shopping / wardrobe enhancement (a sense of male fashion is a plus here, since I don't have one) / gift shopping Task and to-do management and prioritization for both personal and executive tasks Helping transition my elderly and cognitively-impaired mother to living in Austin, and living in a somewhat managed way. (She can currently keep her own place, but she'll need help setting it up, keeping it clean, managing her medications, and meeting people in Austin.) Helping take her house and getting it ready to rent, including getting her belongings organized, finding a property manager to do most of the hard work Miscellaneous life tasks that I didn't specifically mention, but which crop up all the time! No specific skills required, but bonus points for previous relevant experience, being organized / conscientious / smart, being more comfortable with technology than the average person your age, being a good cook, and anything else that might be useful, or even just interesting! To apply, email me a resume / CV, and also tell me something about yourself. No need for an official cover letter or any "dear sir" formal nonsense, just tell me anything that helps me get a clearer sense of who you are as a person.
