Biggs-West Gridley Water District is accepting applications for the position of full-time Ditch Tender. Hours vary based on a rotational, weekly shift; some overtime work required. Would be responsible for taking water orders from customers and making water deliveries, inspecting, cleaning, and repairing canals and facilities, and preparing reports during the irrigation season. Perform maintenance and repairs during the non-irrigation season.
Qualifications: Knowledge of a practical experience in the areas of agriculture required; one or more years' experience in the operation of irrigation water conveyance and distribution facilities desired; California Class A or C driver's license with satisfactory driving record; high school diploma or equivalent. Pay dependent on experience. Post-offer, pre-employment drug testing and physical may be required.
