Description
90s/2000s/Today Rock/Pop Cover band forming This will be a brand new project. However, I plan to be gigging by early summer. I (the founder) have good relationships with PAYING venues with built-in-crowds in NYC, Brooklyn, Staten Island, NJ. The songs are already picked out, but I'm open to adding others as long as they're crowd pleasers. Seeking a Drummer, Bass player, Female Lead Singer, Male Lead Singer. Here are the requirements to be considered. (I know I come off sounding like a dick but I know the formula to make this work, and work fast) Male and Female singers please be youthful, and attractive. In my experience, looking good on stage is 50% of being successful in a cover band. Singers, you'll need to memorize the lyrics. I-pads on stage are ok but need to be kept back by the drums or to the side. They're distracting and come off as unprofessional when they're attached to the mic stands. Fast learner. Years of experience isn't as important as work ethic. If you can learn and perform the songs in a reasonable amount of time, you're a candidate. Learn and practice the songs at home, rehearse and tighten at rehearsal. I plan to gig as much as possible (not for the money, but because I enjoy it) so everyone will need to have flexible Friday and Saturday nights) You should be ok with running a silent stage for rehearsal and all gigs (no live amps or wedges) and ok with using in ear monitors. An in-ear monitoring system will be provided for you (except the buds, $25 on amazon unless you already have custom ones). Some venues will have a PA and engineer. Some will not. I have a state of the art PA system for self produced shows. Although this will be a team effort when we play, I will be managing booking and promoting the band. If any members have venue contacts, even better. Rehearsal dates and location are flexible. If interested, please reach out via email. I don't need live video but I do need a recent photos attached of all of you. This will be a lot of fun once we get up and running!
