Trying to locate original pet owner

This adorable cat was always outside lounging on my street about 2 summers ago. I frequently saw her outside the front porch of a recently vacated duplex that the tenants had just moved out of earlier down the block. When the cool weather came I took her in for a few days. I decided her previous owners were no longer around although I never saw them outside with this cat so I thought I'd take her to the pound and have them help find her a new home. I called back the next day to pick her up and adopt her but they told me they had contacted her previous owner and was waiting to see if and when he would pick her up. He eventually came but didn't have the money to pay for the housing fees and charges and said he would come back when he had the money. I left $100 dollars to help cover the charge when I heard what they totaled to. They gave him a week then called me to ask if I still wanted to adopt her. I said yes and have had her for just over a year. What I'm trying to do now is see if I can get her back to her previous owner. I doubt if I'll be able to get in touch with them as it has been over a year and they might not be in the area anymore. I have come to enjoy her company and love her a lot now, but my circumstances will change by mid-year. If anyone sees the pictures and recognizes her--either her previous owner or a friend--please email me with her name and address (summer 2020) so I can confirm the information and reach out to them to arrange a time to pick her back up.
