We have IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for part-time "Experienced Only" POKER DEALERS. Seeking team-players with a flexible work schedule (available days, nights, weekends and holidays). All applicants must be able to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal background. Misdemeanor theft convictions (petty theft, larceny, etc.) and felony violations will prevent the state from issuing pari-mutuel license) Reliable transportation a must due to public transit may not be running for the late shift. POKER DEALER OVERVIEW: Excellent customer service, developing and maintaining good customer relations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Communicate well with guests, employees and colleagues * Must adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program and its regulations * Monitor gaming activity quickly and accurately * Maintain productivity * Handle multiple tasks in high pressure situations * Perform other duties as assigned by Management QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: * Knowledge of gaming control regulations, operation of poker or gaming rooms * Minimum one year of poker dealing experience preferred * Meet requirements of a Professional Dealer at Derby Lane * Excellent communication skills * Upbeat personality * License certification as a Poker Dealer WORKING CONDITIONS: * Walking, climbing, squatting, stooping, bending, kneeling periodically * Occasional lifting minimum of 25 lbs. * Repeated use of hands, wrist, and arms. * Consistent reaching * Long periods of sitting * Overtime work on "as needed" basis PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: * Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, Federal laws, including Gaming license * Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others * Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance * Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior * Treat all guests and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency * Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted * * Hours vary.
