ATTLEBORO, MA—Attleboro has been designated a high-risk community due to an increase in coronavirus cases over the last few weeks. The town is now a "red zone", which means that it has at least 10 average daily cases per 10,000 residents and a 5% positivity rate. Thursday's statistics from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health reveal that there have been 1290 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Attleboro, with 230 reported in the two weeks before November 19. Attleboro currently has an average daily incidence rate of 35.3 and a positivity rate of 6.38%. The increase in COVID-19 cases in Attleboro comes during a statewide increase in confirmed cases. The state reported 1,785 new cases and 18 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 201,835 and the total number of deaths among confirmed cases to 10,299.
