The OP wrote: "If a Democrat is down and out, employment or help is sought from the most logical, possible, and legal sources. He then added "If someone is down and out, a Republican will be quick to say "get a job" and "hooray for me and to hell with you"." A Democrat is quick to lend a hand, volunteer at the Soup Kitchen or Food Shelf, as are many Republicans, if someone is down and out and needs help.
The OP should differentiate between what many consider 'down and out" or needing short term help with those that see 'help' (or welfare) as a career... passed down thru generations. The OP seems to forget that it is the taxpayer who is being forced to support someone against their wishes.
