ATTLEBORO, MA — Nearly half of Attleboro parents and guardians who responded to a return-to-school survey from Attleboro Public Schools said they prefer in-classroom learning when school is set to begin on Sept. 14.
According to the results APS released on Friday, 47 percent of the 3,724 responders said they prefer in-classroom learning, with 43 percent preferring a hybrid model and 10 percent preferring fully remote learning.
The same follow-up survey revealed that 80 percent of parents said they play to send their children back to Attleboro Public Schools whichever model the school committee chooses, while 20 percent said they do not intend to do so.
The School Committee on Wednesday approved the hybrid plan and offered up a new corresponding new calendar for the 2020-21 school year.
