ATTLEBORO, MA—Two Attleboro residents are facing hate crime charges for harassing a Jewish woman by throwing Bibles, crucifixes, and pornographic photos on her lawn and throughout her neighborhood on November 10, according to prosecutors. Police say Taylor LeBlanc, 23, and Nathaniel R. Raymond, 23, were arrested on Thursday after officers obtained warrants and pleaded innocent to a civil rights violation, criminal harassment, and distributing obscene matter in Attleboro District Court on Friday. LeBlanc and Raymond were released on $250 cash bail each until their pretrial conferences in February and have been ordered to stay away from the victim, her family, and witnesses. The victims have not been identified and the court impounded the police reports. The penalty for a civil rights violation is a maximum one-year jail sentence, the penalty for criminal harassment is a maximum of 2.5 years in jail, and the penalty for distributing obscene matter is up to five years in jail.
