We invite you to visit a historic home that aided enslaved people in their perilous underground journey to freedom
608 Cameron Street features an Underground Railroad site. Inside the home, walk towards the back courtyard and stairwell, and you will find an elusive floor cellar door that leads to an underground hiding spot and pathway beneath the home. It is believed that enslaved people would find refuge here, and use the pathway to hide or escape in the event of emergency or discovery.
Guests will be greeted with complimentary soft drinks and mimosas. All will be welcome to explore the home, which has been redecorated by designer Fruwah Chapman. The home showcases an eclectic blend of historic and modern styles.
Conveniently located in the heart of Old Town, the house is a short walk to the bustling King Street. We invite you to come enjoy a pleasant mix of history & champagne, before or after your Sunday brunch.
