Autism Spectrum Disorders Seminar Series 2022 Join Kern Autism Network, Inc. in our return seminars approach at providing up to date information to parents, educators, therapist, SLP, MFT, LSW, doctors and community at large. These series of seminars will occur throughout the 2022 school year with speakers in the field of Autism expertise, with topics meant to address the entire Autism Spectrum as defined by the DSM-5. Our series topic: Behavior Intervention Plans Outcomes: 1. Be able to identify and understand the primary components of a behavior intervention plan (BIP)or (BSP) 2. Understand conditions for when a behavior intervention plan is necessary (in home and in school) 3. Understand best practices when a behavior intervention plan has been put into place Guest Speaker: Daniel Rivera-ABA Clinical Director at DV Therapy Biography Daniel Rivera is currently the ABA Clinical Director at DV Therapy. DV Therapy is a company that provides speech, occupational, and ABA therapy in Bakersfield and 3 other locations in California. Daniel has been in the field of ABA for over 10 years and has experience with providing direct therapy, caregiver training, supervision, and conducting Functional Behavior Assessments. Daniel has created, managed, and supervised the implementation of behavior intervention plans for over 5 years. His behavior intervention plans have been applied in multiple settings (home, community, and schools). He believes that when executed correctly, BIP's can decrease challenging behaviors and increase desired/replacement behaviors for a learner. Who should attend: Parents, caretakers, BCBA's, therapists, teachers, and community at large. This seminar will be held at our office location for Kern Autism Network, Inc. Seating is limited due to space and following Covid-19 safety parameters. Parking Options: In our parking area or in the Oak Park Tower parking area that is located off of 21 St. and Oak. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for check-in and seminar starting promptly at 10:00 a.m. No children please, as we do not have childcare nor the area to accommodate. (KAN) is a non-profit organization of parents, grandparents, professionals, and other individuals that have an interest in autism. We work towards cooperation, coordination and the creation of services between individuals and agencies.
