ARLINGTON, MA — The town has shortlisted five outdoor spaces in Arlington Heights for potential business use. The "parklets," as they are being called, are temporary small seating areas on or alongside a sidewalk, usually along a curb in a parking space. They can either be used as public amenity spaces or licensed and maintained by individual businesses. The five options will be presented and discussed at the July 20 Select Board meeting. Residents are asked to select up to two preferred parklet locations on a survey ahead of the meeting. The potential locations are below: 1. 1346-1360 Mass Ave (in front of Szechuan's Dumpling / Galaxy Market) 2. 1347 Mass Ave (in front of the former Post Office) 3. The taxi stand at the Arlington Heights Busway 4. 1306-1308 Mass Ave, option 1 (in front of Embassy Cleaners) 5. 1306-1308 Mass Ave, option 2 (in front of Embassy Cleaners, the Christian Science Reading Room, and Home Taste)
