The Lead Process Operator will also be responsible not only for effective hands-on production, but will provide leadership & instruction so others in the group can complete tasks quickly and effectively. What you’ll be doing:  Perform job duties in a safe and conscientious manner, following all procedures, programs, and policies established for specific processes and calling attention to any unsafe acts observed in the work of others.  Operate custom production equipment daily.  Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of manufactured or packaged products and intermediates.  Adjust machine components and machine settings to comply with product protocols.  Remove finished product from machine and separate rejected items.  Make periodic checks of process and equipment settings.  Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.  Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, and report malfunctions to supervisor.  Assist in the design and implementation of production techniques and equipment scale-up.  Follow detailed procedures and instructions.  Record process conditions accurately.  Inspect processes and work to assure effective quality control.  Tie off with next shift lead/team to ensure seamless transition of workflow. Communicate statuses and expectations for next shift.  Support continuous quality initiatives.  Function with the production team effectively and as a team player.  Train other employees in proper production techniques, safety and equipment operation as needed.  Perform other work as assigned. Job Qualifications  High school diploma or equivalent  REQUIRED: 1 to 2 years prior experience in a “lead” role  Previous manufacturing experience preferable within the chemical industry  Experience using computer controlled interface software.  Demonstrated ability in effectively working under pressure and responding to emergency situations  High level of mechanical aptitude  Ability to systematically troubleshoot and problem solve integrated processes  Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Physical Demands:  Ability to stand for a minimum of two hours without assistance.  Ability to lift 25 pounds.  Ability to wear a respirator for 30-60 minute periods.  Ability to work any shift (24/7), both 8 and 12 hour shift lengths. Preference will be given to candidates with attributes and skills that include:  Supervisory experience within process operations  AA degree  Certificate in six sigma or lean manufacturing  Fork truck license ** APPLY HERE: **
